Considering what will be on offer on Black Friday 2022 was foreshadowed at Prime Day 2022, we can’t cast a finger at particular models we should see in the discount bin, but because these shopping events tend to follow the same structure, we can at least make some predictions about the various Black Friday TV deals we expect to find at Amazon in November 2022.

Let’s start with the most obvious expectation: It will be the older models that receive the most substantial discounts. That’s because retailers use shopping events like Black Friday as an opportunity to offload stagnant stock. Not everyone needs the latest, top-of-the-line television. If you don’t, consider this your chance to take home a fantastic television on the cheap. Just stick to one of the big-name manufacturers like LG and Samsung and ensure it has the features you care about — like smart software — and you can’t go wrong.

In terms of the types of televisions that will be discounted, HDTVs will be the cheapest, starting around £100, followed by standard LED 4K TVs at £250. Those after a more immersive viewing experience should be able to pick up a QLED 4K TV from £500 and an OLED 4K TV from £1000, while 8K TVs — the most advanced televisions on the market — will likely start at £1500. Suffice to say, smaller screen sizes will command a much lower price than their larger counterparts, with 55-inch and 60-inch models the most popular choices on Black Friday.
